Six Missionaries, One House

One more week, come and gone.

Early on in the week we were visiting one of our couples. The lesson was going pretty good when someone walked up to the backside of the house. Naturally, the wife went to "answer the door" (there is no door). She came back and told us it was someone from Dondo that wanted to talk to me. Turns out it was a member I taught in Dondo! He moved to Beira and was working on a construction project nearby. It was just super cool and random to see him and was definitely a miracle.

We visited a new couple this week and our first lesson was pretty funny. The lesson was good but their kid was hilarious. He probably was 1 or 2 and he spent most of the lesson staring at me. He would copy my every move. I would raise my eyebrows, and he would raise his eyebrows. I would look to the left, and he would look to the left. I would wink and he would do his best by closing both of his eyes. Needless to say it was cute and funny.

This week we also had two Stake Easter activities, one for the Beira Stake and another for the Manga Stake. They invited all the missionaries in Beira to sing. The Beira activity had talks, singing and they showed some bible videos from the church. It was well planned and really had the spirit of Easter. The Manga Stake activity... well, it was essentially planned in a day, probably less. Everyone found out about the activity the morning of. It was still good but it was a lot more casual and focused a lot more on having some fun with hymns and plays. I didn't hear much of what they said in the plays but it made people laugh so I guess they were good.

Church on Sunday was good. It was combined with the neighboring ward. Because of the increased number of people the meeting was held at the Stake Center and they used a bus to get everyone there. As usual the bus showed up late but in the everything worked out and it was a great meeting. The best part is that everyone had to show up early to get the bus, but with how late everything ran we got back at the usual time. But everyone enjoyed it and we had a lot of new people there.

Last it feels like last year nothing happened for Easter. This year was very different. It was nice celebrating Easter with various activities and a special church session. Christ's resurrection is very, very important. Without out we would be forever condemned to death and sin. But thanks to Jesus Christ, we are saved, we can repent and live with God again. I am grateful for the Atonement. Happy Easter everyone.

Editor's Note:
The title of this post comes from the fact that they now have 6 missionaries living in his apartment. They crammed all of them into one room!
