I'm Whatever Manganhe Needs Me to Be...

Another week come and gone, this one was pretty rainy which stunk but hey, the crops don't grow here without the rain. Unfortunately, the missionaries don't work here with the rain so we had to stay inside quite a bit this week, especially at night. But we managed to stick through it even though it was super boring and tiring.

This week we also had zone conference and to be honest it was my favorite zone conference thus far. It was great because rather than focusing on rules and numbers they talked mostly about our love and our missionary purpose. It was a much needed change of pace and honestly was much more constructive for a group of hard-working, mostly obedient missionaries. Normally, during zone conference we have a time to do practices, which is usually two missionaries practicing teaching to another missionary. However, this time was very different. Instead, they threw us with a random missionary, threw us in the mission van, threw us in some random spot on the street and told us to go and contact for 30 minutes. It was a pretty wild 30 minutes but it was super fun. I was pretty surprised that despite all the chaos it turned out pretty well and everyone got back safely. Plus three areas got a ton of random referrals.

This Saturday we had a super cool baptism, it's a couple that has been going to church for quite a while now and was already married, but wasn't quite ready for baptism. Well, Elder Candido and I managed to give them a date and Elder Falcão and I managed to make it work out. There was actually quite a few complications with the baptism but after jumping a few hurdles and metaphorically falling once or twice it all worked out. The two are so cool and we are going to help the husband get the priesthood so that he can baptize his two kids that are studying at a super fancy school in the middle of nowhere.

I feel like its been a while since I talked about how I am doing. Honestly, I am doing good. The rain was really frustrating because I honestly just want to work in the area and not being able to was just annoying. But I am eating nice food and I am doing my best to enjoy myself in Africa. I made a list of stuff I want to do before I go home and I'm trying to stay on top of it and knock out some of the stuff on the list now.
Another question I might be asked would be about being trunky/trunkyness. Well seeing as how I have a end of mission milestone fast approaching (receiving MyPlan), I'll save that for another time.

Why the batman reference? Well, we had a little chat with our Branch President and he said if we could get this couple baptized we would be heroes in the branch. (Plus it rained a lot this week).

Editors note on the pictures
(with all the rain they've been getting a lot of snails are coming out, being from Colorado Andrew has never really seen too many snails. He hasn't seen that many in Mozambique until the recent rainstorms)
