As fast as a *SNAP

What even happened this week?

I wanted to talk about some of our investigators. These two are kinda funny, they are brothers Edson and Carlos. The funniest part is that they are complete opposites and both have different problems. The first is Edson, he is always at church, and has a lot of member friends. The problem, he doesn't want to be baptized, he just says he isn't ready. It's weird. Now his brother, does everything, prayers, reads, asks good questions but, refuses to come to church. The guy literally read 17 chapters of the Book of Mormon in 4 days, understood it and asked questions using the scriptures. I don't understand either of them, but I'm sure that both will change and improve.

I also can complete the story from last week about the guy that was baptized in 2003. We met him at his house and got talking. In 2003, he was in Marromeu working at a sugar factory. He remembers talking with the missionaries and going to church. He even remembers going to a baptism, but he told us he didn't think he was baptized. But when we explained the existence of his record he admitted it was possible. It was so funny, he had never mentioned any of this and remembered so little of what happened. But the mystery was solved and we could move forward with fixing his record.

Well, we had a baptism. It was nice. In total we had one ward and two branches there, each baptizing one person. One person showed up early, one showed up 10 minutes late and the last person showed up 45 minutes late! So of course everything ran behind schedule. The other funny part is that almost the entire stake was baptizing so there was were baptisms at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. Ours was first so everyone else's baptisms started super late. But in the end it all worked out.

We also had a baptism fall through. The guy set up his interview but then on the day of his interview he just disappeared. We later found out that he was in the hospital because of his tooth. He is okay now and will likely be baptized next week.

Church was really good, we saw a lot of couples there and we had good talks and lessons. During sacrament meeting they tried to sing a song that nobody really understood, after 2 verses of three people singing it finally fell flat on its face. Fortunately, a quick switch to a better known hymn saved the meeting.

That's about it, I guess this is what happened this week. Bye!

We were teaching a lesson and then all of these kids just showed up
