You have Money? Give me your Money.

You remember when I said I never know how to start these emails, yeah I still don't. But anyway it was a good week.

P-day was actually really fun, we went up to Beira to hang out. We started by stopping by Mr Frango which is a pretty decent restaurant (and has good prices too). Then we went capalana shopping and stopped by Shoprite for groceries. On our way out like 10 other missionaries showed up including like every missionary I know from Nampula. So we got to chat for like 20 minutes and it was awesome. What was crazier is that half of them are in my zone now so I got to see them again at zone conference.

Zone conference was this week and once again it was one of my favorites. The mission has really improved zone conferences a lot since I got here. This conferences talked a lot more about personal conversion and much more specific missionary skills. It was very good and all the trainings were much more conversion based. My favorite was President Moraes' training at the end. He talked about the importance of a testimony and spiritual experiences. It is absolutely critical as a missionary and a member of this church. Without a strong testimony, lasting conversion is extremely difficult or impossible. A testimony is what lets us batter any storm, any hardship and any doubts. A strong testimony needs to be built on spiritual experiences. Spiritual experiences lead to a testimony which is what leads to a lasting conversion. It was a very powerful training and it showed quite clearly the focus of the mission right now.

On Friday we promised to visit a couple that lives super far away (I think I have mentioned them before). They are super far away, like after their house there is like 5 more and then it is just mashambas (farms) for miles. Anyway the husband is a member and the wife isn't and it was our first really conversation with them. What was funny was that the wife said "I went to another church before we were together but now we go to my husband's church." She basically said that she is only going to the Church of Jesus Christ because it's her husband's church. But I think she is warming up to it and she is certainly still interested in learning more and joining the church. That day we ended up doing a lot of walking and it was exhausting.

Sunday was pretty exciting it was a really good sacrament service and a lot of people showed up. Afterwards, we had a few lessons. One of them was pretty fun because the guy asked us how many wives Joseph Smith had. That's the first I have been asked any sort of anti question here so it was a little surprising. But the rest of the day was solid so it all works out.

Editor's note: The title is from something that Sister Moraes tells his companion, Elder Adams, every time she sees him.
