Side Hustles and Odd Jobs

First I would like to explain last weeks email title. It's an inside joke between Sister Moraes and Elder Adams, my companion. So she will walk up to Elder Adams and in English say "I don't have any money, do you have money?" followed with "you have money, give me your money" and then start motioning and begging for money. Oh just to explain this weeks title when people don't have a set job they'll do 'biscates' which means "odd jobs." Then one day we were talking with one of our friends that speaks English pretty well and we asked him if he was working and we said "no but I have some side hustles."

On P-day we went zoo that I had been to once before with the district, it was very fun. We saw all the animals and ate lunch at the restaurant there. It was just nice.

Wednesday we went out to visit a family that lives very far away (as it will be every Wednesday). Anyway, the lesson was great and we walked all the way back to have a ward activity at a member's house. Well we got there and the member that runs it wasn't there, so it didn't happen. Why it stunk is that we had just finished walking 45 minutes straight just getting there to find out that the activity wasn't happening and then had to walk another 30 minutes straight to get home early and make a bunch of calls. It was, needless to say, tiring.

Saturday was also very tiring, we had two baptisms in the morning and we had made a decent plan of people to visit, or at least we thought so. When we left to go visit the first person they weren't there, neither was the next person, quickly all of our plans went downhill and we walked to just about every part of our area just looking for someone to visit, but almost nothing worked out. It was simply exhausting walking to basically every part of our area just for nobody to be there. But at the end of the day we managed to get some work done and get a good nights rest.

Sunday was a bit more interesting this week, because there was a holiday our church attendance was a little low but we still had a good attendance. Well, Bishop announced that next week we will have two sessions for our ward. Basically we will be going to 3 and half hours of church so that we can attend both sessions. But it is going to cool because it is all in preparation to split the ward into two branches so that next year it can be a district and soon after a stake. It's pretty crazy being at the front of all this work and it is going to be crazy seeing it all change and grow.
