The Time does not Forgive

We meet again. Another week has passed and things are going good here. Transfers are this week so that will be fun. I discovered that I bought a lot of capulana here and that it will be very hard to get it back to Beira with the rest of my stuff.

On Preparation Day we went to Mount Nairucu again. This is my third time but it was still very fun. This time our district took about a million photos, but I definitely worked to appreciate the scenery and go to the parts I haven't seen before. Then we hiked the mountain again and had a snack on the top. It was just a fun day. Elder Jeremias and I were both pretty tired afterwards.

We had another cool day filled with weird stories this week, unfortunately not as many as last week but still some decent ones. This week I will also go in chronological order. Shortly after getting to the area, I randomly had to poop really bad. We quickly redirected to a nearby gas station but Elder Jeremias told me to use a bathroom at a bar in the neighborhood. It wasn't a great bathroom but it did have a toilet to sit on so that was a win (most people don't have toilets to sit and use the bathroom on, I still haven't been brave enough to ask how they poop).
Later we where looking for some new people to teach in a new part of the area, and while we were walking some kids called out to us. After a short chat, we found out they were actually the Tomas family, a less active family we had recently found out about. We had somehow found exactly where they lived by just wandering through the area.
Then we had to go back to the church for an interview with one of our friends. But the entire road was full of cars completely stopped. So we walked to get past all the traffic and found out a giant semi was trying to back into an alley and it was blocking the entire road. This happens quite a lot because the loading zones for semis are usually poorly located and semi drivers basically don't care about other cars so this one guy literally was causing like 30 minutes of traffic. Anyway we eventually got the church and the interview went super well.
Then we had to rush to get to the rest of our lessons and ended up being a little late to all of them. One of them, as we were walking to the lesson we had to cross the train tracks and the train was coming right as we were about to cross. So we had to wait and get to our lesson even later. Still, it was a good day and we had a lot of good lessons and unexpected miracles.

Then the next day Elder Higgins, who is going home, left to go to Beira for his last week. Leaving us here as a trio covering both of our areas. It has been slightly challenging but it is going well. With transfers coming up this week we are all curious to see what will happen with transfers. I should™️ be going but of course I don't know and President has tricked me before. So I am just going to wait and see. However it goes I am sure I will be surprised and satisfied.
