Mr. Worldwide

This week was actually good, it doesn't really feel like it but we had a ton of solid days. It was half and half with good days and bad days but I had fun throughout it all.

P-day we hiked a super short mountain. It was really fun and even though it was a very short hike (about 5 minutes) the view was excellent. Simple stuff outside like that remind how green and pretty Mozambique is (even with all the trash in the streets). The rest of the day was pretty normal.

The next day was pretty cool. We had a meeting with a super cool less active. He showed up at church randomly on his own and we quickly got in contact with him. When we talked to him I was super impressed with his desire to come back to church. He basically is the prodigal son of a member that lives here in Nampula. He was super happy to meet us and just has so much desire to repent and come back to church. I really look forward to helping him out. It should be great. Plus we will be able to teach his non member grandma too.

The next day was just full of sick miracles. We weren't able to get too many lessons so we had a lot of time to contact. And during all of these times we found someone new to teach and met a lot of cool new friends. We ended up getting a ton of lessons and it just went really well.

The next day was good not really any good stories. After that though the week was pretty meh. A lot of lessons fell through but we managed to make it work out okay. Also the 25th of June is Independence day here in Mozambique. It wasn't really very different except that everyone was busy so basically nothing happened that day. It was great. But we did go to part of a barbecue and had some pork (which is really hard to find here). Then we went back early and had studies.

Alright now it is time rant about church attendance. I still don't get it here. People want to come to church and promise to come. You call the night before and the morning of, and they still want to come. And then they don't come. I guess they just don't want come enough. But we are still working on it and we are definitely looking for new people that actually will come to church. We are also going to be very direct with some of these people that aren't coming to church.

I guess that's it. It was solid. We have Zone Conference this coming week. I hope we talk about stuff other than obedience.

Also the title is Mr. Worldwide because I have been called American, Brazilian, Chinese, and Mulatto, so I guess I am a pretty racially diverse person. (Also I stole it from Elder Leonardson)
