We Made a Friend!

This week was pretty neat, we finally made a friend out of one of the potentials we have been working with. Her name is Jeffrie and she is pretty cool. She is a little busy but she likes the comfort our message brings. We also have some service lined up which should be cool. The rest of our potentials are doing good.

One super cool thing that happened this week is that we went to the temple. My Mission President, President Zimmerman, scheduled all of the missionaries to go this week and it was super cool. We went with the office couple in charge of housing and they are super funny. This is the 2nd time I have been able to do an endowment session. The Sacramento temple is so cool. I learned so much this time and it was very spiritual.

It also rained a ton this week, like cats and dogs, like the most rain I have ever seen here. Some of the streets were flooded and people would use the rain as an excuse not to talk to us. It was really cool and fun. I got to break out my rain boots and jacket. It was really cool but pretty crazy.

This week we also got to give a talks. I went first and it went well. I didn't have many notes and I felt like I rambled a bit but it was good. I talked about my mission experience and what I had learned in my 145 days as a missionary.

I have learned to grow my faith and love the work. It is far from glamorous but it can be so rewarding. I learned that faith brings miracles, miracles can be simple or incredible. Being a missionary has taught me so much. It has strengthened my testimony and my resolve. I know I have been called by God to serve here. I know that I am learning and growing in the gospel. I know it can bring me peace and joy. I know it can bring that to others too. It isn't all great but it is incredible.
