Increasing Potential

If our area was like a physics problem it would have a lot of potential energy but not much kinetic energy. We don't have much results but work is happening. This week we met with four formers and had solid impromptu lessons. All we need is another lesson and they become friends. The best part is that they are all pretty solid. They all want to meet again. It is great to see things moving forward. We are working with the ward so that we can see even more success.

Honestly what has happened so far are definitely miracles, every one of these people are really busy and we have stopped by many times. Talking with all of them right as the new transfer started is really cool to see. I am excited to see where it takes us.

Another miracle is we have also been able to get in contact with less-actives that we haven't ever met before. A lot of them weren't interested but it is great to see contact even if it means it is one less person to stop by.

So because it is a new transfer it means there is a lot of missionaries coming and going. Two Elders left our apartment: Elder Young (now Austin Young) and Elder Reynolds. Both were super cool missionaries and it was weird seeing them go because I had been around them my whole time in the field. And now Elder Dowell came in to replace them and finish Elder Korab's training. He is really cool. The zone changed a lot too and it was really weird to see a lot of new missionaries at our zone kickoff. One of the Elders, Elder Flake, I met while I was at BYU. I haven't been able to talk to him, but it was weird and cool to see him there.

Transfers are a time of a lot of new beginnings, missionaries, people and opportunities. It is the best time to set new expectations for yourself and grow. I already have seen myself do a lot better in areas I had struggled. I know as I put in constant effort to change I can improve and grow. I know when I make good choices and act on the spirit, God will help me with my weaknesses.
