Breadwinners

In the moment everything feels normal, but the days and weeks fly by. Somehow there only two weeks left in the transfer. Crazy. People told me the Mission goes by fast but I didn't know that this what they meant. Everything feels normal but yesterday and beyond feel like a vague memory. Super bizarre.

In other news we put someone on date to be baptized. He is super interested in being baptized and he keeps commitments which is awesome. The only trouble is that he is really hard to meet with. He responds well to text but is hard to meet in person. His life was pretty crazy and he really wants to do better. We really just need to be able to teach him so that he can be ready. It is looking unlikely he will be ready for the initial baptism date we set but again, he is very eager.

We are also making good progress on another potential friend. We have met and called her and she was very receptive. All we need is a good time to stop by and teach. She has met with the missionaries before but we accidentally deleted her records. Fortunately, I got pictures of some of the information before it was lost. She seems interested in learning but some of the notes from past missionaries suggest she is a little difficult.

And now, bread. We had a awesome member dinner in which we had some awesome sandwiches, met and taught a potential friend (investigator) and enjoyed some solid cooking. The best part is that the next day the member gave us the extra bread. That night since we didn't have a planned dinner, I made garlic bread. That's right, garlic bread. To be honest it was alright, it was super crunchy and we didn't have any mozzarella cheese so I used parmesan. It tasted pretty good, 7/10.

This coming week will be good. We have a couple of lessons, some exchanges and lots of member dinners. Each day I learn a little more and my confidence increases. I was reading in Alma 53 and it describes the young righteous warriors (the stripling warriors). It describes them as valiant for courage. Everyday I work to be like them, shining examples of courage, faithful and bold.
